About WishlistLab

WishlistLab helps indie game developers turn more Steam visitors into wishlists. It's built and run by a small UK studio using AI: the audits, reports and much of the day-to-day running are automated, and people at Helix Platforms Ltd oversee quality, support and refunds.

Why we built it

Every bit of marketing an indie developer does, from a Reddit post to a streamer to Steam Next Fest, ends on the same Steam store page. If the capsule is unreadable at thumbnail size, or the short description doesn't say what the game is, that hard-won traffic leaks away. The advice on fixing it is out there, spread across Valve's Steamworks docs, conference talks and marketing blogs, but it's hard to apply to your own page with fresh eyes.

We wanted a quick, honest second opinion that any developer could get for free: paste a link, see what's holding the page back, and know which fix to make first.

How the audit works

1. We read your public Steam page. Your store data, review summary and user tags, using Steam's public store data and SteamSpy. We never log in to your Steamworks account or change your page.
2. AI reviews it against a fixed rubric. A vision model looks at your actual capsule art, and the page is scored out of 100 across seven categories: capsule art, short description, trailer, screenshots, tags, About section and social proof. The rubric is based on Valve's own guidelines and widely cited indie marketing research.
3. You get specific fixes. Your score, the top 3 fixes, a rewritten short description and suggested tags, on screen and by email.

The free audit is limited to 3 a day to keep costs sensible. WishlistLab Pro re-audits your page every week, and the one-off Deep Audit goes into every category in depth with a comparison against similar games.

What we're not

We're not affiliated with Valve or Steam. AI audits are a starting point, not a guarantee of sales, and we'll always tell you when something is an estimate.

Free tools and guides

Alongside the audit we publish free Steam tools, like the capsule size checker and wishlist calculator, plus practical guides and a weekly newsletter. Questions? See the FAQ.
