Head-to-head

WishlistLab vs Immutable Steam Analyser

Written by the WishlistLab team. We make one of the tools compared here. Last checked 18 October 2026. Competitor facts come from their own pages, linked in the table and in the sources below. Prices and features may have changed since then.

The short answer: they focus on different things. Immutable's free Steam Analyser goes deep on capsule art, and it works before your Steam page exists. WishlistLab's free audit covers the whole public page, from capsule to social proof, and rewrites your short description. If you're still designing your capsule, use Immutable. If your page is live and you want to know what to fix across all of it, use WishlistLab. Plenty of developers could use both.

Side by side

Free tier compared with free tier. Immutable doesn't list a paid audit, so we haven't compared our paid reports with anything of theirs. Each Immutable fact links to the page it came from.

Where Immutable is stronger

  • Works before your page exists. Upload a capsule and get a score with no store page. We can only audit a public page.
  • A published rubric. It publishes its six dimensions, scoring anchors and formula, so you can check how a score was reached. We describe our 7 categories and their points, but not every anchor.
  • A free human call. Its optimisation guide offers a free store page audit on a 30-minute call. We don't offer calls.
  • More free tools around the page. A tag analyser, revenue and wishlist calculators, a festival finder and an investor database, with no sign-up.

Where WishlistLab is stronger

  • The whole page, not just the art. We score 7 categories, including short description, trailer, screenshots and About section. Its six dimensions are all about capsule art.
  • Free rewrites. Our free audit rewrites your short description and suggests tags. Rewrites aren't mentioned on its analyser page.
  • Paid depth when you need it. A one-off Deep Audit (£29) and weekly re-audits with WishlistLab Pro. Immutable doesn't list a paid audit.
  • Testing and translation. A capsule A/B test voted on by WishlistLab visitors, from £9, and store page localisation from £39.

Which to choose

  • If your capsule is still a draft and you have no Steam page yet, pick Immutable's Steam Analyser.
  • If your page is live and you want every section checked, pick WishlistLab.
  • If you want to talk your page through with a person, book Immutable's free 30-minute call.
  • If you want a rewritten short description today, pick WishlistLab.

FAQ

Is Immutable's Steam Analyser free?

Yes. Its page says there's no account, no credit card and no email gate. Immutable's optimisation guide also offers a free store page audit on a 30-minute call.

Can I score my capsule before my Steam page is live?

With Immutable's Steam Analyser, yes: you can upload the art and get the same six-dimension score with no store page. WishlistLab audits public Steam pages only, though our free capsule size checker accepts an uploaded image to check its sizes.

What does Immutable's score measure?

Six dimensions of capsule art, each scored 1 to 10: genre clarity, title readability, contrast and colour, uniqueness and polish, brand consistency and composition. The 0–100 score is the average of the six times ten, and it publishes the rubric.

What does WishlistLab score that a capsule analyser doesn't?

The rest of the page: short description, trailer, screenshots, tags, About section and social proof, as well as the capsule. The free audit also rewrites your short description.

Should I use both?

Many developers could. Score the capsule in Immutable's tool while you design it, then run a WishlistLab audit once the page is public to check everything else.
