Best Steam page audit tools in 2026: a fair roundup
Written by the WishlistLab team. We make one of the tools compared here. Last checked 18 October 2026. Competitor facts come from their own pages, linked in the table and in the sources below. Prices and features may have changed since then.
The short answer: there isn't one best tool, because they do different jobs. For a free first check of a live page, start with an AI audit such as WishlistLab or Steam Page Analyzer. If your capsule exists but your page doesn't, use Immutable's Steam Analyser. If you want a person to look at it, book a human audit. If you want to know what similar games sell, use a data tool such as Gamalytic or Video Game Insights, and for your own real traffic, use Steamworks' traffic reports.
We looked at eleven options across four groups: AI page audits, human audits, data and analytics tools, and doing it yourself with a general AI chatbot. Every competitor fact comes from the competitor's own page, checked on 18 October 2026 and linked in the table and the sources list. We make WishlistLab, so we've kept our claims to things you can check on our pricing page, and we say where others are stronger.

AI page audits
WishlistLab
WishlistLab is ours. You paste a public Steam URL and get a score out of 100 across 7 categories: capsule art, short description, trailer, screenshots, tags, About section and social proof. A vision model looks at your actual capsule. The free result shows the top 3 fixes, a rewritten short description and suggested tags on screen, with no email or account needed. You can have the full report emailed to you if you want a copy. Coming Soon and released pages both work.
Paid options: the Deep Audit (£29) covers every category in depth with a comparison against similar Steam games and a 30-day action plan, the Launch Pack (£49) adds launch materials, and WishlistLab Pro re-audits your page weekly from £19/mo. We also sell store page localisation (£39 for 5 languages, £79 for 12) and a capsule A/B test from £9. Where others are stronger: we can't score a capsule before your page is public, and our refund terms are the standard ones on our refunds page rather than a score-based guarantee.
Steam Page Analyzer
Steam Page Analyzer reads your public store page and scores it out of 100, with four section scores for capsule, description, screenshots and trailer, and tags. The free check shows the worst issue with its full fix and a count of everything else it found, with three free checks a day and no account or Steam login. The $29 Full Report is a one-time payment per game that unlocks every fix, paste-ready text, a comparison with similar games, a PDF and two re-runs.
Genuine strengths: no email or account for the free check; a "5-Point Promise" refund if your score doesn't rise 5 points after the fixes (or for any other reason within 30 days); 23 free tools; and published benchmark pages for 906 store pages. It also sells a hand-edited Competitor Report for $249. Our full head-to-head: WishlistLab vs Steam Page Analyzer.
Immutable Steam Analyser
Immutable's free Steam Analyser gives a 0–100 score and a ranked list of fixes. The six dimensions it lists are all about capsule art: genre clarity, title readability, contrast and colour, uniqueness and polish, brand consistency and composition. You can paste a Steam URL or upload a capsule, and it says there's no account and no email gate.
Genuine strengths: you can score a capsule before your Steam page exists; it publishes its rubric and scoring formula; and Immutable also lists a free tag analyser, revenue and wishlist calculators and a festival finder. Its optimisation guide also offers a free store page audit on a 30-minute call. Our full head-to-head: WishlistLab vs Immutable Steam Analyser.
Navfuse
Navfuse's AI Steam Page Analyzer is free and still live as of 18 October 2026. It takes a store.steampowered.com URL and returns an overall score, key findings, a "fix this first" item and a detailed analysis. You can run 3 analyses a day on its built-in free option, or unlimited analyses with your own Gemini API key.
Genuine strengths: unlimited runs if you bring your own key, which suits rapid iteration; and its page says no data is stored on its servers. It doesn't list which sections it grades or any paid tier, so we've written "not stated" in the table.
Human audits
The Indie Brew
The Indie Brew, an indie games media site, sells a Steam Page Audit through its shop. The listing says it covers your descriptions, imagery, links, trailer and other details, with a full audit report and a list of recommended changes. You fill in a form after buying, and turnaround is 3 to 5 business days, depending on demand. Its shop showed us the price as £26.85 plus tax; the shop shows prices in your local currency.
Genuine strengths: a person reviews your page, so you get judgement and context an automated score can't give; and you get a written report and list of changes to work through. It's slower than an AI tool, so it suits a page you've already tidied up.
Freelancers
Plenty of marketers and artists offer Steam page reviews on freelance marketplaces or directly. Prices, scope and turnaround are set by each freelancer. Strengths: you can pick a specialist in your genre or in capsule art, and you can ask follow-up questions. Check their past Steam work before you pay. If you'd rather hire through us, our marketplace lists capsule artists and trailer editors.
Data and analytics
These tools don't audit your page. They tell you about the market and, in Steamworks' case, about your own traffic. They're the right choice when the question is "what sells?" rather than "what's wrong with my page?".
SteamDB
SteamDB is a community website, not affiliated with Valve. It tracks things like most-wishlisted and most-followed games, wishlist activity, price history, sale dates and player-count charts. Strengths: it's open to browse without paying, and it covers a huge range of public Steam data. It doesn't review your page.
Gamalytic
Gamalytic estimates sales, revenue and player data for Steam games. It has a free tier; Starter is $25/month and adds wishlist estimates and full filters, and Professional is $75/month or $810/year with history back to 2015 and full API access. Strengths: wishlist estimates for other games, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Video Game Insights
Video Game Insights offers a free sign-up with sales estimates, wishlists, prices and ratings for over 100,000 Steam games. Its Business plan has custom pricing and adds PlayStation and Xbox data, downloadable datasets and API access. Strengths: console data alongside Steam, and large downloadable datasets for deeper research.
Steamworks traffic reports
Valve's Store and Platform Traffic Breakdown, found in Steamworks under Marketing & Visibility, shows your game's impressions, visits and click-through rate by source. Its UTM tracking can also measure wishlists and purchases from outside campaigns. Strengths: it's real data about your own game, not an estimate, and no third-party tool can see it. Use it to check whether any change you make actually worked.
Do it yourself with a general AI chatbot
Pasting your short description and About section into a general AI chatbot is free and fine for a quick look or a rewrite idea. Be aware of the limits. There's no fixed rubric unless you bring your own checklist, so two runs can give different advice. It won't render your capsule at Steam's real sizes, and it has no comparison data on similar Steam pages unless you paste it in. Our free capsule size checker and short description checker cover two of those gaps at no cost.

FAQ
What is a Steam page audit?
A review of your Steam store page as a shopper sees it: capsule art, short description, trailer, screenshots, tags and the About section. It tells you what to fix first so more visitors wishlist. Some audits are done by AI in seconds, others by a person in a few days.
Is there a free Steam page audit?
Yes, several. WishlistLab, Steam Page Analyzer and Navfuse all grade a public store page for free, and Immutable's Steam Analyser scores capsule art for free, including art you upload before your page is live. What the free tier includes differs, so check the table above.
Should I pay for a human Steam page review?
If you want someone to look at your page with judgement and context, yes. The Indie Brew sells a written Steam Page Audit with a 3 to 5 business day turnaround, and freelancers set their own prices. AI tools are faster and cheaper for a first pass and for re-checking after changes.
Do I need sales data tools like Gamalytic or Video Game Insights for my page?
Not to fix your page. They estimate sales, revenue and wishlists for other games, which helps you size your genre and pick comparable titles. For your own game, Steamworks' traffic reports show real impressions, visits and click-through rate.
Can a general AI chatbot audit my Steam page?
It can give you a quick, free opinion if you paste your text in. It won't apply a fixed rubric unless you give it one, it won't render your capsule at Steam's real sizes, and it has no comparison data on similar pages unless you supply it.
